My iPhone

This is my current phone and I must say its the best phone I’ve ever had. I’m not really a phone junkie but do like to have a nice handset in my pocket and this one just appeals right to me. I think it has something to do with the bright color rich screen and icons that just look very sleek and stylish, once you start using the phone it only gets better. So here’s a list of a few things I think the iPhone does well.

• email – simple and easy to use just like email should be.
• maps and gps – again simple to figure out no instructions necessary.
• interaction – whether you spend hours flicking between screens or resizing photos -its addictive.
• the web – just like the web should be, the full web in full color, portrait or landscape and did I mention the scrolling is addictive.

So the iPhone is great to look at, plays music, texts, makes calls, has more apps than you care to count and has the full web and email pinned down all with 3G now, so whats it bad at?

Personally if I had my way these would all get an upgrade in the next version:

• Camera – Only 2MP and what no options? Not even flash!
• Speaker – Poor quality when music is turned up and receiving calls from people who speak loudly (or shout) is not pleasant.
• Tilt – More sensitive sensors on the tilt landscape function, or an option to turn it on/off or button to make it flip.

All in all. Well when you can put up with a phone that is poor at making phone calls you know you are on to a winner. So until a new iPhone comes out I guess I wont be needing this Mobile Phone category I’ve just created much. Unless I decide to delve inside the iPhone………..best wait til I get a new one first.
